Attack of the blues

We have recently made a collection of blue items. Portia Munson's work has inspired us to start a collection of our own. Some people brought in items that were interesting to them while others brought anything they could find that was blue. Either way our collection has become something bigger. They all fit in with each other not only because of their color but because they are all random. Our items in my opinion represent the time we are living in. Everything in our collection is modern for the most part. If someone who didn't live in this time looked at our collection I think they would be interested in our use of the items. I like how many different shades of blue there is and how they come together.

Collecting vs. Hoarding

When I think about someone collecting items, I think of a very organized pile of whatever it is someone may collect. When I about hoarding, I think about someone piling up items constantly and usually the items are all over the place and random. To me, there is a huge difference between collecting and hoarding. Someone who collects items, usually keeps them very organized. A hoarder in my opinion is someone who gathers items together and doesnt keep it organized. They have a bad habit of piling stuff on top of each other.
This is a collection of books. All of the books are in order and very organized.

This is hoarding of books. All of the books are not organized and you could not easily find the book you'd need.
